During FY23, we developed our 2023-2025 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) strategy. 

This strategy revolves around four pillars:

  • Fostering diversity of thought
  • Ensuring equitable remuneration
  • Harnessing diversity

These pillars solidify our commitment to being an employer of choice. An action plan for each pillar outlines key initiatives and timelines at both an Amotiv group level and a business unit level.

Our DE&I Strategy

Our work in respect of DE&I is a component of our broader people strategy to build and support the Amotiv culture. 

Over the past three years, we have created the foundation for a culture that encourages greater diversity of thought through the following focus areas and actions:

Ensuring that physical safety is paramount in creating and maintaining safe workplaces

We prioritize the physical safety of our employees, ensuring that our workplaces are secure and hazard-free.

Creation of workplaces where mental health and wellbeing are valued in the same way as physical safety

We recognize the importance of mental health and wellbeing and are committed to fostering an environment where these are given equal importance to physical safety.

Aspiring to upper quartile performance in employee engagement

Our goal is to achieve top-tier performance in employee engagement by creating a supportive and motivating work environment.

Establishment of speak-up processes and pathways

We have implemented processes that encourage employees to voice their concerns and ideas without fear of retribution.

Creation of forums, and an environment of psychological safety where people can, and do, speak up and ask questions, and seek to understand other perspectives

We foster an inclusive environment where open communication and diverse perspectives are valued and encouraged.

Strategically hiring people who are different from those we have hired in the past where doing so is possible and supports the culture and diversity of thought that we see 

We aim to diversify our workforce by hiring individuals from various backgrounds and experiences.

Developing and implementing leadership programs that upskill and develop our leaders

We invest in our leaders by providing training and development programs that enhance their skills and promote inclusive leadership.
